About this event
This is a day paddle, there is also a separate overnight paddle signup .
We will be leaving about 10 AM from Wildcat Cove going across to Eliza Island and then to the DNR campsite on Lummi Island.
Pit toilets available at launch and camp site.
Skill level: Level III.
Challenging conditions:
Open water crossing >2 nm
Route:
We expect very little current, but the crossing is about 3.5 nm (total trip 5 nm each way). Dress for cold water immersion (wet suit, dry suit) and bring clothes if you want to change at the camp site.
At the campsite, we will meet up with the overnight group, have lunch (BYO) and perform some camp cleanup and trail maintenance (bring pruners, trimming tools).
The return will be in the afternoon about 4 PM.
