About this event

In this clinic you will learn effective forward stroke ergonomics. These will improve your strength, endurance, and, most of all, resistance to injury.

The clinic will consist of shore practice to isolate each component movement and integration. We will then go on the water and use the forward stroke in our boats.

When you leave you will have a sense of how an ergonomic forward stroke feels and some self coaching tips to use on your future paddles.

Bring:
A foam pad, such as a sleeping pad or yoga mat. We will lay on these for some exercises.
A small stool, 6” to 12” high, that you can sit on. We will use these for on shore movement practice.
A rod of some sort, such as a wood dowel. It should be a little longer than your natural paddle grip width. We will use these for on shore movement practice.

If you do not have any of these at hand, don’t work too hard to find it. I’ll bring some extra and we can share.
