For 40 years, the non-profit Whatcom Association of Kayak Enthusiasts has been the area's primary gathering place for people interest in kayaking. The club provides classroom and on-water education, day and multi-day trips, access to kayaking equipment and the community and camaraderie that comes from sharing a love of paddling.
